A new mall is due to open in the Maamoura area, along Salwa Road, on Friday.

Called Parco Mall, organizers are calling the multi-floor structure Qatar’s first “green” mall, partly due to a vertical garden inside, which boasts some 2,000 tropical plants, as well as an aquarium.

What else is there? A food court, a flagship Food World grocery store, bank and money exchange, laundry, travel agency, pharmacy, clothing stores, and even a book store.

Which exact stores will be there, has not yet been announced. But they promise to launch with a week-long festival of fun for the whole family.
