Road safety videos to play on big screens during Medical Commission wait
Expats going to the Medical Commission for their mandatory health checks will now have something to do during the long wait – watch short videos about reckless driving, pedestrian crossing and other factors that contribute to accidents, the Peninsula reports.
The films, which will be in various languages, is part of an ongoing effort by the government to increase road safety, which has been in the headlines in recent weeks following the deaths of several nationals and expats.
Studies are also being conducted about the use of mobile phones by drivers on the road – though dubiously, one found that only 60 out of 1,000 motorists here were guilty of this infraction.
