After deregulating the pricing of pharmaceutical products coming into the country, and introducing more suppliers,  medicine costs were expected to go down.

But as prices instead went skyward, the Supreme Council of Health has decided to set a maximum limit for price hikes on drugs – 10 percent each for wholesalers and retailers.
