Plans for a massive complex of used car showrooms, vehicle rental facilities and repair workshops have again been revised, with developer Barwa Real Estate Group saying its “Motor City” project will now be built in stages.
The first tender for phase one of the QR1.5 billion project was launched yesterday and work on that is set to be done by mid-2017, local media reports quoted Barwa’s CEO Salman Mohamad al-Muhannadi as saying. Barwa previously said that it would break ground on the complex, in Rawdat Rashid just off the Salwa Road, in 2011.
