Qtel is urging all its customers to sign up for e-billing before Nov. 30, when it will transition to paperless bills. 

After that, those who wish to continue receiving hard copies of their statements will have to pay QR5 per bill, the company said.

Qtel had originally announced plans to start charging for paper billing by Oct. 1, but it appears the transition took longer than expected.

To make the transition before Qtel makes you, SMS “EB<space>email ID<space>QID Number” (i.e. EB [email protected] 123456789) to 114, receive a verification message of the email ID supplied, and be immediately switched to the e-Bill upon confirmation.

Customers can also sign up online by selecting the e-bill option on Qtel’s website; by calling 111 and providing their Qatar ID details; or by visiting a Qtel shop.
