Creative Commons Qatar has just released a digital copy of Dreesha: Glimpses of Qatar, a gorgeous collection of photoessays and commentaries from photographers in Doha.
Dreesha means “window” in Qatari dialect.
CCQ writes:
As stated by the editors of Dreesha, “each photo-essay is a personal view of Qatar that highlights the mystery of the ordinary.”
The Qatar Narratives series began in 2007 as an experiment, creating a space for the citizens and residents of Qatar to express themselves on the issues connected to the modernization of our Gulf state. The response to the first two essay anthologies was extremely positive, and Dreesha is being equally well-received.
