Discarded boats, old buoys and other trash have been removed from the banks of Doha’s Corniche and Al Safliya island by government beach clean-up teams, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME/Baladiya) said this week.

This is the latest effort in an ongoing campaign to keep the country’s shores and beaches free from litter, as the Eid Al Adha holiday approaches and many residents head to the seaside.
