Qatar’s annual inflation eases in November
The annual inflation rate for Qatar eased last month – from 2.5 percent down to 2.1 percent – for the first time this year, in part due to transport costs.
Annual inflation has been steadily climbing since last December, but experts say it is relatively stable.
Philippe Dauba-Pantanacce, a senior Middle East and North Africa economist for Standard Chartered Bank, tells Reuters:
“The uptick in inflation, we don’t see it as a new beginning of major inflationary pressures.”
