Talks focus on regional developments, security issues and expanding research cooperation between Qatar and Uzbekistan.
A delegation from Qatar’s Center for International Policy Research (CIPR), affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, participated in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Center for Foreign Policy Studies and International Initiatives under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Qatari delegation included Vice President of the CIPR Rashid Al Mohannadi, Executive Director of the centre Turki Al Maliki and Sheikh Mohammed Tamer Al Thani.
During the discussions, participants reviewed the latest regional and international developments, emerging trends in global affairs and issues of mutual interest concerning Central Asia and the Middle East.
The two sides also exchanged views on regional security challenges, shifts in the international landscape and opportunities for greater cooperation in addressing shared concerns.
The meeting explored ways to strengthen collaboration between CIPR and research institutions in Uzbekistan, with a focus on expanding academic partnerships, policy research and expert-level exchanges.
Officials from both countries highlighted the importance of dialogue and knowledge-sharing in supporting informed policymaking and enhancing understanding of regional and global developments.
The roundtable reflected a shared commitment by Qatar and Uzbekistan to deepen cooperation in research and foreign policy studies while fostering closer ties between experts and institutions in both countries.
Participants also emphasised the value of continued engagement on issues affecting regional stability, economic development and international cooperation.
