Qatar’s Ministry of Interior is investigating how cattle managed to escaped from Doha Port yesterday morning and injure three people while running amok for hours, local media reports state.
Two of the bulls, which reports said were shipped from a Western country to Mawashi, were caught after being sedated.
One fell into the sea, and one bull was killed after attempts to sedate it proved unsuccessful.
Its meat was distributed to cleaners at the Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning, Al Arab reports.Â
Gulf Times reports:
Inside the Ministry of Agriculture building, the other one stormed the area where its toilets were located. However, the two were eventually apprehended by some people, including port staffers.
While some sources said a staffer at Qatar Livestock Company, which imports cattle to the country was among the injured, others said a few visitors to the Ministry of Agriculture were among those hurt. The injured were rushed to hospital.
Anyone know more?
