Qatar reportedly arrests, extradites four men planning attacks on Bahrain
Qatari authorities arrested four Bahraini citizens more than a week ago who were alleged to be planning attacks in their homeland, according to Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior.
A statement from the Bahraini ministry said on Saturday that Qatar security forces found the suspects in possession of “sensitive security information” as well as tickets to Syria, and significant amounts of US dollars and Iranian toman.
The four were then extradited to Bahrain on November 4 on charges of “planning terror crimes,” and a fifth suspect was arrest in Bahrain itself. The planned attacks allegedly targeted the Bahraini Ministry of Interior, the Saudi-Bahrain causeway, the Saudi Embassy and individuals.Â
