The Qatar government has said itās preparing new rules for Ooredoo and Vodafone aimed at reducing the number of complaints about spam and unwanted premium services from mobile phone customers.
The Communications Regulatory Authority said yesterday that it plans to consult Qatarās two major telecom service providers Ooredoo and Vodafone on the new code of conduct. The government said consumers mustĀ consent to receive a service before they are charged, but provided no specific details about the new planned measures.
