A sudden sandstorm that blew across much of Doha dissipated almost as fast as it arrived, causing some residents to wonder if it ever even happened.
Shortly after 3pm today residents reported clouds of sand and dust sweeping across the city enveloping the towers in Dafna/West Bay and beyond.

Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) said the quick change in weather was the result of thundery conditions in the north of the country.
