A few brief showers and colder weather are in the cards for Qatar over the next 48 hours, local forecasters have said.

Today and tomorrow, temperatures are expected to go no higher than 22C (72F) and could plunge below 13C (55F), the Qatar Meteorology Department said on Twitter.

It added that rain could hit parts of the country starting tonight and continuing into Wednesday.
