The Qatar Marine Festival is now open to the public (as of 4pm today) at Katara Cultural Village. Based on reports and the dazzling photos from last night’s VIP opening, it’s going to rock.

There are a few must-sees at this free festival, which runs from 4pm to 11pm daily until March 26, including:

• Secrets of the Sea, a musical on the maritime heritage of the Qatari people
• Seals show, featuring 4 Siberian seals and a water ballet performance
• Sands Kingdom, which will showcase works by internationally-renowned sand sculptors
• Dancing Fountains, a “spectacular show” of water, music and lights
