Residents who need to renew visitor and tourist visas and sort out their exit permits should take note that the office near Doha International Airport is relocating.
Starting Sunday, the Visa, Entry & Travel Permits department will move to its new headquarters in an administrative building near Hamad International Airport.
The office is popular among those who need to visit the immigration department during the weekend, since the main immigration department in Madinat Khalifa is closed on Fridays and Saturdays.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the new office will be located near the Cargo section.
For those driving on the highway toward HIA, the new immigration office will involve taking a separate turnoff that comes before the exit for the HIA arrival and departure terminals.
The moves comes a little more than a year after Qatar shifted all airport operations to the much-larger HIA, after outgrowing the DIA.
Thoughts?
in true sense Immigration office is required in Matar Qadeem with full service like Wakra / Mesaimeer
I had to renew my visitors visa yesterday and was informed that the “old airport visa office” was closed. They were very good to communicate and told me to go to new Air Cargo area and to the Department of Interior Passports office. It wasn’t that hard to find… when you come to the end of the road turn right, and right again into the parking lot. Very, very fast service (particularly for women) but possibly because not everyone has found out about the move yet.
Hi Cheryl, thanks for this info. Did you happen to catch which hours the office is open?
No sorry. The Taxi driver told me 8AM until 2PM but I got the distinct feeling that this office is open 24 hours. I should have checked closer obviously.
