Qatar Airways has announced it will begin flying to Salalah, Oman’s second largest city, four times a week starting May 22, 2013.

Salalah is a popular tourism destination in the Gulf, renowned for its lush greenery during the monsoon (Khareef) season.

Other destinations the airline has confirmed it will fly to next year include Chicago, Cambodian capital Phnom Penh, the Iraqi city of Najaf and Gassim, Saudi Arabia.
