Though thousands of people have left Qatar to celebrate the holidays elsewhere, plenty of residents appear to be sticking around to enjoy the festivities here.
Qatar has organized a host of activities around town, including at the malls and hotspots like Souq Waqif and Katara Cultural Village.
Last night, crowds gathered at Katara to enjoy the fireworks show, which will be held at 10pm daily until Monday.

How are you spending your weekend? Thoughts?
Dn, do you have permission from these people to publish their photos?
We haven’t had any complaints from the people in the pics, but most of the photos are from QTA anyway. Also, they were taken in public places, so permission isn’t necessarily needed.
Dear Shabina,
Another breaking story and good news is that QA has been awarded as the best airline for 2015 by skytrax. I believe it should be shared with the readers on Doha news.
I work at the souq waqif so if there is anyway I can help let me know. I would love to contribute to your requirements.
Regards,
Vishal
