Strong winds and dusty conditions are expected to prevail throughout Doha today, the Qatar Meteorology Department has said.
In an advisory issued last night, the MET also warned of high seas, a concern echoed by the Ministry of Interior:
Sea goers are advised to be alert as strong winds may lead to raise in sea waves 7-9 ft & up to 14 ft. Your safety is important.#MOI_Qatar

Water safety has been in the spotlight this week after two engineers drowned in Al Khor on Eid when the tide suddenly came in.
Today’s windy conditions should abate by tomorrow, a forecaster told the Peninsula. Meanwhile, the gusts are helping to cool down a day with a maximum temperature of 34C (93F), and a minimum of 24C (75F).
