Passengers urge Mowasalat to bring back late-night bus services
Staying out late on the weekends has gotten difficult for some of Qatar’s residents, particularly bachelors who are having a hard time getting back to the Industrial Area, Khartyat and Shahaniyah after 11 p.m.
That’s because public transport company Mowasalat has scrapped schedules operating from the main bus station after 10 p.m., Gulf Times reports.
Buses used to operate much later, some leaving the main bus station at midnight.
“With those schedules being withdrawn, we need to shell out considerable sums for our travels both to the outskirts of the city and far away places late in the evenings,” said travelers from the Industrial Area.
