A fight-turned-melee broke out at the Al-Shahaniyah Secondary School for boys, leaving more than 15 people hurt, including teachers who tried to intervene, according to local media reports.

The reasons behind the scuffle remain unclear, but police were brought in to break up the hour and a half long altercation.

Many of the injuries were apparently caused by sharp instruments being used in the fight.

Does anyone know more about what happened, and how it all got started?
