Fatima is the most common name among Qatari women with 6,420, followed by Maryam with 6,311 and Noora with 6,249.

There are 4,359 females called Aisha and 3,372 named Sarra.

Mohammed is the name of the Prophet, and Fatima is one of his daughters. Both are highly regarded among Muslims and the popularity of the names may to reflect the religiousness of Qatari society.
