Some 10 new mosques, with space for 7,000 worshippers, have been officially opened by the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, QNA reported.
The new mosques are located in Madinat Khalifa North, Al Muntazah, Al Sudan, Bin Omran, Al Wakra, Umm Sanim, Umm Ghuwailina, New Al Khulaifiat and Hazm Al Markhiya. Looking ahead, Ashghal said this week that it’s constructing an additional 15 mosques for the ministry that it expects to be completed by the first quarter of 2017.
