Ministry of Labor: Most domestic worker agencies do not meet standards
Less than a third of domestic help recruitment companies operating in the country have received positive evaluations from Qatar’s Ministry of Labor, the Peninsula newspaper is reporting.
The newspaper cites a Labor Ministry statement saying that only 8 of 121 manpower agencies received “A” grades during evaluations, while another 27 received “B” grades. The remaining 86 businesses were all given a “C”, the lowest grade.
MOL’s classification system is meant to “improve the performance of the recruitment agencies” and offer incentives to the highest-ranking companies.
What do you think? Do stricter measures need to be taken against non-performing agencies?
