The Qatar Meteorology Department is advising caution on the roads as Doha gets battered with a combination of wind, dust and rain over the next few days.
Strong winds are kicking up dust this morning, causing poor visibility and high seas, the MET said on Twitter.
A forecaster told Doha News that thunderstorms in most parts of Qatar, including Doha, are expected shortly.
Windy, rainy conditions are expected to continue all day, abating in the evening, he said, adding that “it’s better to stay home during the daytime.”
Thunderstorms are also expected to hit Doha tomorrow, though forecasters say the wind and dust will go down a notch.
Temperatures will reach a maximum of 33C (91F) today and a minimum of 27C (81F).
