Lightning, thunder and rain hit Doha tonight, thrilling residents who hail from wetter climates and frightening cats and small children unaccustomed to the sights and sounds.
But the country won’t be covered in clouds for long, according to the Qatar Meteorology Department.
Expect the thunder and rain to continue tomorrow morning and taper off by mid-afternoon, a forecaster told Doha News tonight.
“We’re getting back to the summer,” he added, with the maximum temperature reaching 24C (75F) tomorrow and expected to climb during the week as the sunshine burns through the clouds.
