It’s going to be hot in Doha over the next few days, with temperatures expected to rise by an average of 6C to reach a high of 32C (90F), the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) has said.
The heat will be accompanied by windy, dusty conditions, but after Friday is forecast to abate considerably, the MET added.
Over the weekend, the country will transition away from the hotter weather as clouds move in and chances of rain showers increase on Saturday.
In a statement, the MET explained that a high pressure front and northwesterly winds will contribute to the change in weather:
“Cold weather will affect the country and there will be significant drop in the temperature between the values 6 – 10 degree where the maximum temperature will be between 20 – 23C (68F to 73F) in the city of Doha and the minimum will be 12 – 15C (54F to 59F) and may be lower in some areas.”
So to sum it up, no sweaters are needed for the rest of this week, but you may want to hold on to one during the beginning of next week.
