There’s some good news today for those of you craving more book shops in Doha.

Al Meera holdings – which bought the rights to operate British bookshop and newsagent WH Smith under franchise in Qatar earlier this year – has announced the first three locations for its new shops.

This article in arabic daily Al Raya says they will be in the forthcoming Ezdan Mall (opposite Landmark), in the Al Meera Shopping complex at Nuaija (also still under construction), and inside Giant stores at Hyatt Plaza. 

Al Raya says all three shops should be open before the end of this year.
