Reduced visibility on Salwa Road, in Al Khor and several others part of Qatar continued well into the morning today, thanks to a fog that doesn’t seem to want to clear away.
While many motorists had no trouble getting to work, others complained that traffic had slowed considerably because it was so hard to see:

So far, there have been no reported delays at Hamad International Airport due to the foggy conditions, though some flights to the US have been canceled because of an impending snowstorm there, an HIA official told Doha News this morning.
Week ahead
In a statement, the Qatar Meteorology Department forecast that fog would continue to be present in the early mornings throughout this week.
It added that temperatures will begin to rise gradually starting today, with a high of 25C (77F) expected.
A “remarkable” increase will be seen from Thursday to Saturday, with highs of up to 29C (84F) and lows of 18C (64F).
It continued:
“This is because the area is affected by the extension of the low seasonal Sudan associated with Southwesterly – Southeasterly wind light to moderate in speed, freshen offshore on Thursday where the wind will be between 12 – 20 KT offshore with some low and medium clouds on Tuesday.”
Starting Sunday, things will cool down again slightly as strong winds move in.
Were you affected by the fog this morning? Thoughts?
