Jacque Foo is a Malaysian photographer with a passion for street photography.
Here in Doha, he’s been doing a series of portraits, capturing chance meetings of random people at the Corniche in a project he calls “Faces in Doha.”
The photographer explains:
“Faces in Doha” is an ongoing personal project photographing strangers whom I met on the streets of Doha. I started this project just because I was fascinated with the fact that in Doha there are more foreigners than the native people.
The people I photographed are mostly foreigners who spend their weekends around the Corniche and the Souq areas. I am delighted that, although life is not easy in Doha, there is never a shortage of optimism in them – which is why I enjoy working on this project so much.
