More rain is in the forecast for Doha and other parts of Qatar today, with “unstable” weather expected to continue into the morning, local forecasters have warned.
In a statement, the Qatar Meteorology Department (MET) said conditions will include scattered light rain as well as heavy precipitation with thunder activity.
It added that the rain will likely be most intense through this afternoon. But the low pressure system affecting Qatar will stick around until early Monday.

So far however, there have been no widespread reports of flooding or leaky roofs, as Qatar saw a few months ago.
At that time in November, heavy downpours across Doha brought traffic to a standstill. It also caused two popular malls to leak, and another to shut down completely.
