Move over, Dubai. Qatar looks set to get its own underwater hotel resort in the near future.
An Italian architectural firm is designing what could be Qatar’s first “elaborate, semi-submerged luxury resort project in a protected marine area” on the coast, HauteLiving.com reports.
The project is projected to cost $500 million and will include land and sea areas with residential buildings, offices, floating walkways and underwater views of an artificial reef bed.
