Despite initial reports, it doesn’t look like the mall is opening tomorrow.
A spokesperson there told Doha News today that she “did not know” when Villaggio would re-open, and that shops are still waiting approval from Civil Defense.
A shop manager said the VIP section of the mall is ready to go, but Carrefour and other stores are not yet prepared to re-open.
Meanwhile, parents of the 13 children who were killed in the May 28 fire are calling for a boycott of the mall pending answers and justice.
