The second Indonesian Education Expo in Qatar showcases top universities, scholarships, and academic opportunities aimed at preparing students for global challenges.
Following the success of the first event last year, the second edition of the Indonesian Education Expo 2025 Qatar will take place on 23–24 May 2025 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in West Bay.
The event aims to provide the wider community in Qatar with comprehensive information on the progress of higher education in Indonesia and how it can meet global challenges.
This year’s expo offers even greater opportunities, featuring a range of higher education institutions offering bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programmes, exclusive scholarships to empower Indonesia’s next generation of global leaders, and guidance on how to successfully apply for these scholarships.
Targeting individuals aged 16 and above, the two-day exhibition is open to a diverse audience, including students, parents, educational counsellors, school administrators, career advisors, and professionals looking to further their studies.
Participating universities include Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universitas Padjadjaran, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember, Universitas Bina Nusantara (BINUS), Universitas Sampoerna, Swiss-German University (SGU), and the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business.
“The international community in Qatar should take this opportunity to explore internationally competitive higher education options in Indonesia,” said Ridwan Hassan, Indonesian Ambassador to Qatar.
Ambassador Hassan also reiterated the Embassy’s commitment to expanding access to information and opportunities in Indonesia across various fields, including education, for the benefit of the wider community.
Currently, more than 2,000 Indonesian students are living in Qatar, some of whom are preparing to enter higher education. This makes it crucial to provide them with accurate, in-depth information about available programmes and the broad range of educational pathways in Indonesia.
“The Indonesian Embassy supports both the Indonesian community and the international public in Qatar by offering access to reliable information on the quality of higher education in Indonesia through events like this,” said Ivan Rismi Polontalo, Coordinator of Information, Social, and Cultural Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Qatar.
He added that the success of this initiative is due to strong cooperation between the Embassy and the Indonesian community in Qatar, as well as support from the government and people of Qatar.
