IKEA Qatar recalls children’s staircase safety gates

Swedish furniture and home goods store IKEA is recalling its PATRULL safety gates following reports of the devices opening unexpectedly, leading to children falling down stairs.

IKEA said tests have shown the locking devices to be unreliable. No receipt or proof of purchase is needed for customers to obtain a full refund, the retailer added.
