Starting on Friday, May 6, Hamad General Hospital will switch all its patients records to an electronic system as part of a wider roll-out of a new system across all hospitals and clinics run by Hamad Medical Corp. and Primary Health Care Corporation.
Under the new system, healthcare workers can view a patient’s healthcare history, prescription information, clinical notes and other information electronically across HMC and PHCC providers. The move aims to reduce the possibility of transcription errors and to give doctors more time with patients, HMC said in a statement.
