A fire that broke out this afternoon around 2:30pm off Salwa Road sent plumes of thick black smoke into the air before being quickly brought under control by Civil Defense firefighters.
One reader said it appeared to originate from Green Touch Landscaping, next to the Wholesale Market near Al Mamoura Roundabout. Another resident said:
@dohanews the fire is coming from a flower shop at Abu hamour area I took some photos pic.twitter.com/Oa8X8ADuLa

The Ministry of Interior hasn’t yet weighed in on Twitter, but some residents at the scene said the fire has been put out.

Does anyone know more? Thoughts?
Light the Green Touch paper and off it goes. Very black smoke though.
Hope the plants killed off all the zombies…
Unconfirmed reports have suggested the fire started accidently when the Qatar Chamber of Commerce began burning all the NOCs promised in kafala reform…
