Motorists looking to exit Al Shamal Road and head toward Doha by taking exit loop C on Al Kheesa Interchange (N10) will need to take a diversion for the next 11 months.
According to Qatar’s public works authority, the loop will be closed today to carry out construction work on a flyover as part of the North Road enhancement project.
In a statement, Ashghal said:
“During this period, traffic heading from east of Al Kheesa Interchange to Al Shamal Road Doha-bound will need to use the roundabout on Al Kharatiyat Street, take a U-turn and then turn right to the exit ramp leading to Al Shamal Road, or use the local roads shown on the attached map.”
Last month, Ashghal announced several other diversions on Al Shamal Road, including the closure of an exit ramp on the other side of the interchange.
Both directions of a street between Wadi Asma and Al Kheesa Roundabout are also closed for the next six months, diverting traffic to a parallel road.
Additionally, a signal at Wadi Al Salamiya St. and Al Kharaitiyat St. on Al Shamal Road will be closed for the next year to make way for the construction of a bridge.
