Saturday will be the last day of Ramadan and Sunday will be the start of Eid al-Fitr holidays, Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced in an official statement broadcast on Qatar TV.

As astronomers had predicted, Awqaf’s Crescent Moon Sighting Committee was not able to spot the moon tonight, which means that Ramadan continues for another day.
