Dear Doha News users,

It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since we sent our first tweet on @dohanews! And since then, there’s been no turning back.

From 2009 to now, we have moved from 140 characters to posting on Tumblr and Facebook, and then to launching an independent news website.

It hasn’t always been a smooth ride, but all along, our community has propelled us forward – encouraging us, engaging with us, and sharing what you know about important stories affecting the country we all live in.

We wouldn’t be where we are today without you – and we won’t be anywhere tomorrow without you, either.

In the coming days and weeks – and beyond – we hope to be able to offer you more great reporting and high-quality digital journalism. But we also wanted to stop and say, thanks for sticking with us!
