For the first time in the region, characters from the hit movie Frozen – including Elsa, Anna and Olaf – will perform in Doha this spring as part of a new Disney on Ice show at the Qatar National Convention Center.
The show, titled Princesses and Heroes, will be held from May 27 to 30.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, April 1 at Virgin Megastore outlets in malls and online here. A spokesman told Doha News that tickets should be available no later than noon on Wednesday, though they could go on sale earlier in the morning.
Prices are QR150 (Bronze), QR250 (Silver), QR450 (Gold), QR1,000 (VIP) and QR2,000 (Royal). There is a 25 percent discount on tickets for one of the shows, an “after school special” timing on Thursday, May 28 at 3:30pm.
The program will include popular Disney characters such as Tinker Bell, Aladdin and eight Disney Princesses (Ariel, Belle, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Tiana, Jasmine, Aurora and Snow White).
This will be Disney’s third show in Qatar, following fairly successful renditions of Rockin Ever After and 100 Years of Magic.
The show is being produced by Feld Entertainment, in conjunction with the Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Sport & Entertainment Solutions (SES).
Who’s planning to go? Thoughts?
Why are the tickets so expensive??
supply and demand.
and then they brought truckloads of laborers….
it’s at QNCC which doesn’t have an ice rink, I remember for the first Disney on Ice show they made one which must have added to the cost.
Coz it’s Qatar and everybody is rich
Disney events – no matter where – are always expensive. The cheapest seats for the same show this month in Miami at American Airline Arena, where the top row is so far from the floor you might barely be able to see who the dancer is (Mermaid or Duck) the ticket is $16 plus a $8 service fee. That is 90 Qatari Riyals. Mid tier are about $50 USD, and floor seats are in the $200-300 USD range. I think that flying the cast to Doha, lodging them, and renting the QNCC has more to do with the cost of the ticket than just greed. As all this is added to the cost of the normal ticket one would get in Florida, where Disney actually is located. Disney events the world over simply are expensive.
Any provision for daytime school shows…? 100+ kids?
Why can’t they utilize the Lusail Multipurpose Stadium (the one for handball) for these types of shows – I’m confident the cost of leasing this venue would be cheaper than QNCC thus reducing the cost of the ticket – which are really high. Unless the promotors wish to skim the market on pricing. The target audience are children and the prices are ridiculous. The last event, sound of music was about 40% empty for the show I attended. Reduce the price and i’m sure you’ll have numbers enjoying the show – which are fantastic and everyone needs to be able to enjoy live acts.
They need to commercialize this fantastic venue (Lusail multipurpose) – Ed sheeran selling out before you even get to know the tickets are on sale. Come on guys get more acts to Qatar !!!!
Disney cost MONEY and lots of $$$’s to fly out third rate talent to Doha that is why the tickets are EXPENSIVE.
also
they do NOT want the “untouchables” to see or have access to a show like this…they get to look up the skirts of the female dancers .
You need to make sure you take your medication every morning….
He sure does.
The price of the tickets should be lower for kids 12 and under and kids 3 and under should be free. …too expensive to take a family of five
Agree :/
