Court sentences expat to three years in prison for killing compatriot
A Doha court has sentenced a laborer to three years in prison for pushing a co-worker off the 22nd floor of a tower under construction in West Bay, local media reports.

The convict lost his voice throughout the trial so he was transferred to hospital for medical checkup. Medical report disclosed that the convicted person was mentally sick and was being treated. He could not defend himself because he lost his voice after the incident.
Defence lawyer Hind Al Saffar pleaded with the court to acquit the convict on health ground since he was declared mentally unfit.
He will be deported after serving the sentence, the report states.
