As part of a new promotion, City Center Mall will hold extended hours on Friday, staying open from 3pm until 4am Saturday morning.

“Starlight Shopping” begins at 4pm with a musical parade, the mall announced in a press release this afternoon. Other free activities that run into the night include magic and puppet shows for children, performances from “golden living statues” and stilt walkers.

Most stores will stay open until 2am and food and beverage shops, until 4am. Regular hours will resume Saturday morning, with the mall opening from 10am to 10pm.

Mall manager Olaf Kindt said the event is being held as a sign of customer appreciation.

When asked whether bachelors would be allowed, as Friday is Family Day, he stressed to Doha News that the event was family-oriented, but did not say that anyone would be turned away.
