UPDATE |7.35pm
One of our followers on twitter visited City Center this afternoon. Here’s what he saw:
@dohanews At Citicenter, approx. half of the shops open, lots of parking spaces for a change, Carrefour open, but no fruits or veggies…

We’ve also spoken to a manager of a kiosk which was due to open just before the mall closed. He tells us many of the kiosks in the mall have been removed, and he’s unsure what the future holds for his own business.
Let us know how the mall looks when you visit!
UPDATE | 4:44pm
Here’s the memo the mall sent tenants today. It reads:
We are glad to announce that we just received the official information from Civil Defence concerning the City Center re-opening.
City Center will officially open to the public by Tuesday, 10th of July at 8am.
However, City Center opens the doors to the public already by today after 12:00 in the afternoon. We are encouraging tenants if possible to start their operations immediately.
Unfortunately, for those shops with unfulfilled requirements, we are obliged to keep the shop close.
We are thanking you for your cooperation for the last stressful weeks and wishing you a successful start before the holy month of Ramadan.
UPDATE | 4:30pm
We have just spoken to City Center again, and we are now told that the mall is in fact open this afternoon. It is unclear whether all of the stores are open yet.
Anyone there see any movement?

We have spoken to City Center, which confirms that it is fully re-opening for business tomorrow morning at 8am.
We have been told that tenants were notified in a memo that they could re-open their stores from midday today, but most have been unable to do so given the short notice.
