Legendary performers Cirque du Soleil will be coming to Doha for the first ever this summer. The Canada-based contemporary circus company will be performing their signature show Saltimbanco at the Aspire Dome from July 4-7.
What is Saltimbanco? Here’s how they describe it:
Saltimbanco… explores the urban experience in all its myriad forms: the people who live there, their idiosyncrasies and likenesses, families and groups, the hustle and bustle of the street and the towering heights of skyscrapers. Between whirlwind and lull, prowess and poetry, Saltimbanco takes spectators on an allegorical and acrobatic journey into the heart of the city.
The act will feature some 50 performers from 20 countries, including acrobats, clowns, jugglers, trapeze performances and more.
Sounds like it’ll be a good deal of fun for anyone around this summer, although certainly not cheap, with tickets starting at 130 QAR and going over 1,000 QAR for VVIP seats.
Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, May 17 at Virgin Megastore in Landmark and Villagio malls, and online at cirquedusoleil.qa.
