A broken pipe that sent water shooting into the air for some 20 minutes has caused traffic backups along Al Jamiaa Street towards TV Roundabout, residents say.

The incident appears to have occurred around 12:30pm near the intersection of Al Sanaa Street.

Witnesses said the water appeared to be shooting as high as 12m into the air. The broken pipe is located on the landscaped center median.
