Muslims in Qatar who wish to perform i’tikaf by staying in a mosque during the last 10 days of Ramadan may do so at one of 136 designated venues around Qatar, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs (Awqaf) has said.

Those who plan to sit i’tikaf should maintain personal hygiene, protect their belongings and not bother other worshipers, the Peninsula reported Awqaf as saying. They are also being asked not to hang clothes on walls or mosque pillars, and only sleep/eat in designated areas.
