The Qatar Domains Registry has now made Qatar-specific Arabic Internet domain names .قطر (.Qatar) available through accredited registrars.

With it, Qatar becomes among the first countries in the world to offer non-Latin language scripts in domain names.

The country also put an English .qa domain name on sale in September, with ictQatar reporting that some 10,000 were registered in less than two weeks.

To check the availability and register a Qatar-specific domain name, visit the QDR website (in Arabic). If the domain name is available, you will be directed to the list of registrars you can choose from to purchase the domain name.
