Arab Games events now free, open to public on first-come, first-serve basis
The Arab Games Organizing Committee has announced that it has bought up all remaining tickets to its sporting events and is inviting the public to attend its happenings free of charge.
Those who have already bought tickets will not get a refund, but the proceeds from the sales will be donated to charity, the ADOC said.
It continues:
With the exception on the closing ceremony, which remains an all-ticket event, all events will be free to enter. Every single person and family will now have the opportunity to enjoy the live action and support their favourite nation by simply making their way to the games venues with seating allocated on arrival on a first come basis.
A full listing of the remaining schedule, which runs through Dec. 23, is available here.
It’s possible that this “act of generosity” has to do with lower-than-expected turnout at events, but who cares? There are free tickets and fun times to be had by all!
