Families in Gaza will receive $100 each.
Cash aid will be disbursed to poor families on Tuesday as part of efforts by the Qatar Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza and the Qatar Fund for Development to support Palestinian communities.
The monetary aid is expected to benefit at least 100,000 families, with each family set to receive $100.
This also came after the Qatar Committee’s previous initiative in September, which provided cash aid to 100,000 families in Gaza and 70,000 families harmed by COVID-19.
Considering the critical situation in the country that has been exacerbated by the pandemic, the disbursement will take place in accordance to all precautions adopted by the Palestinian Ministry of Health to contain the outbreak.Â
The Qatari committee, along with the designated authorities, will oversee the disbursement effort in order to ensure the highest standards of safety and security.
